Brunch Conrad, foot massage, Silom street Market and Thai restaurante... what else for a perfect sunday !!!

I guess that was the first and the last time that I eat in the most expensive hotel of Bangkok... We went to this, wonderful,huge and amazing Hotel to have a brunch (does it sound posh ?!) Well I have eaten the most delicious food ever ... anything I wanted I cud eat, a big buffet, with thai, chinese, japoness and Europeen food, and the dessert, just forget about all the chocolate pudding I have eaten, ice cream or caramel cream I cud not settle down... and doesn't matter if I get fat ... this food was better than anything and for the price that we paid it was impossible to think about weight !!!
Then to chill out a bit we went to a Thai foot massage and it works ! I was nearly gonna fall to a very deep sleep when a lady boy next to me was having is pedicure ...( hum..hum ... )
Then I started gift shopping in Silom... in that street about more than 1 km, stantds are everywhere, and more u walk more u get crazy by all the stuffs you can get, have to haggle over a lot if u wanna get the best price, at the end I get so tired of that but got what I was looking for ... and as always here, the time for food was and a good Thai meal hav all eaten !!

And I found it ! a little beach far away from tourist just empty of anyone, just perfect, the place was fantastic even I did not catch what I wanted with camera as it looks much nicer in real.. anyway.. This time in Koh samet was better, we stayed 3 days and weather just has been perfect, not too hot but defenetly not cold ... We had eaten so well sea food and grilled fish... spent days long sleeping on the sand such as swimming in the hot water.. getting tanned or burn whatever ... I am afraid that my skin will never get tanned as I wish ... :(
So well perfect week end and perfect Island, propably not as beautiful as the south Islands but at leat is not crowed of tourist !

Satursday back to Koh Samet for the week end ! yeahh u know what that means ! turquoise water super hot like a bath ...white sand...sharks swimming around...great thai food, massage !!! and hot hot hot weather ... arf !!! this time much more pictures will be taken then I won't have to stole then on internet to show u all how is this island ... am I gonna find this kind of beatch in Barcelona ... Noppp so let's envoy one more thime this little paradise :)

Today I went to the Grand Palais and it was just amazing and very beautiful ... lots of light, temples, Bouddha and I took so many pictures that you will defenetly have to look and the links ... I spent about two hours walking around for 25o baths which was not that expensive for the beauty of the place crowded anyway of tourist ... arf we cannothave everything :) and of course it was too hot that the only thing I really wanted was having a freezing shower ..he he ! anyway I really enjoyed spending time there... have rarely seen something as beautiful as that place is ...

Khaosan Road - backpackers

Khaosan Road ... the backpackers place ! is full of them ... everywhere around, guesthousse, bars and pub, restaurants, music, food and clothes ! If u wanna meet people is probably the best place to hang out ! In plus no Thaie people here ... I mean just the one saling otherwise they are out of here ! Not really amazing, just a walk by there was enought... but for sur that when I will go back to Thailand, there I will go for a good price guesthousse !

From Bangkok...And the sun is back !

In not even one month I will have to go Back to Barcelona ... That will be kind of hard after two months here in Bangkok ...Maybe I will come back after all ... who knows ! Well very soon I am suppose to go to Koh Phi Phi for one week ... (yes you know is the island where the movies -the beach- has been done ... so yes one more month to envoy Thailand!

My week in SHANGHAI

well, it's done, I am back to hoty Bangkok ... What more can I say that I had just a crazy nice week ?! Everything has just been so much fun and I don't even know by where shud I start to explain you everything I've seen and done !
After two days in this huge somerset hotel, Family left and let me in the city by myself for 4 days, I found the Captain Hostel (if I still have a good memory about the name ! ) which is in the very center of shanghai ( Fuzhou Road) Share a room with I suppose 5 others girls and met people from all around the world that was pretty much fun ! sharing experiences, travels and all that kind of things ! Speaking english too much that I have kind of lost my french ;) and drinking chiness beers all night ! and went all around the city, walking somethimes about 6 hours non-stop ! getting lost everywhere, even with a map ! seeing people runing after you for make u buy something ... well just being foreign in a such nice city like Shanghai!
What more can I say ! Chinese people are kind of funny-dirty-crazy people ! being 3 or 4 in the same motobike... spit all the time everywhere, wearing pijamas all day long ( yep ! its super fashion there ! ) and looking at you like if u where an e.t ( well I shud stop cos I was also looking at us like that most of the time -))
Went to the very riches places like also the very poors places ... as we can see that in every corner it can be so diferent ... my favorite place is probably the French concession ( hey ! not because its called french something... huhuhuh.. ! ) the atmosphere around this place was just impossible to describe, I'd loved u to envoy pics that I have taken from there but u probably won't find them attractive. Probably because everything there is about feeling, sound, smell and atmosphere ... people doing everything in the street, speaking, eating, saling, washing clothes, hair and all that stuffs .. babies runing everywhere without nappies ( yep yep ! I will never be a nanny for chinese families for sur !) ............
I also went to the hair dresser ( arf u know me and my hair as a long love story !!! I cud not pass by without trying ! ) and it was so funny ! they cud not understand what I wanted even if it was simple so they were all around me looking at my hair, touching them... so I get included with the price (6 euros) half an hours of shoulders, harms and hands massage ! they even cleaned my ears ! ok ok !! don't even think that It was because they were pretty dirty cos they are doing that to everyone ! so it wasn't only for me ! like a special treat ! so yes ! that's it for the moment ! I am really looking forwars to go back to China and try to explore more, go to other cities and for sur to the countryside ! I will defenetly recomend you to plan to go there because China is an other world that u can't understand if u don't try to go there ...

From Shanghai ! first impression

wooowWWoww It is just wow !!! I do not know more to say ! huge, pretty, futurist, screams everywhere, big bulding, lights on the tree, on the bulding everywhere even boats or whatever ! I will have never thought that it would have been like that ! just big and every corner of each street I am "whOOww so nice !!! " don t be jaleous and just get money and flight there ! no regrets !
I saw many things in few days, I am just by myself here and it is even better because it is hard to get bored as there are many things to do ! back to bangkok will be strange !

One week In SHANGHAI

Shanghai today... so exiting.. so happy ! So I decided to stay there during my days off so I will be by myself in this big city where is gonna be so hard to comunicate as they don't speak really english but at least I will have this digital camera and I will be (enfin!) able to take a LOOOOTS of pictures and show u all of them ;)

For not even 1 euros, I took a boat and went all down during about 1 hour, saw many places likes temples ... that was pretty good and funny

There I went yesterday ... did not really enjoy it.. As all the Zoo animals look sad and it was defenetly too hot .. they were all sleeping ! but at least the area is pretty nice ...

Siam Paragon

Science museum, Aquarium (Ocean world), Siam Paragon

What a strange idea I had this morning to go to the science museum which is about 20 minutes from home (probably THAT ! ) well it could has been nice but unfortunatly, most of everything was in Thaie language ! and in plus I was the only one in this museum, no one, just the cleaner ! well not have to wait for anything but still ! the good think that was in this museum is there are in the same time a little aquarium and a planetarium ...
And with baby Orson, I went to the Ocean World and that was super ! I loved it ! very attractive, big, colors, music and futurist ! nice atmosphere and huge rooms full of sharks, crabes and whatever that I have never seen before ! it tooks about one n half hours to see everything and in plus we saw sharks feeding ! (http://www.siamoceanworld.co.th/) the aquarium is inside this big shopping center Siam Paragon. It's a really new pretty center, just next to the one I went for spiderman and actually in this area (Siam Square) is full of shopping center, shops, stand food in the middle of the street ! people and there is even a wifi area ! just about 10 minutes walk from home ;) by the way, rain saison has started one week ago, that mean sun is not here anymore even if it is still very very hot and it's raining a lot ! but I pretty like it, even if sun is not here the rain when ur outside is good when it is too hot :)

World Center : Spiderman !

Tuesday night, 1 of may was the first of Spiderman, so we went to this hude mall center, with 2 cinemas on it ! then we had a v.i.p place (so cheap ! not even 5 euros for a v.i.p place with a special room where u can take all the candies,drinks u want for free ! I mean including with the price u paid ... plus still nothing ! and the cinema room and scream where so big and we had a very good place in the balcony ! as a tradition, just before the movie, all people stand up for 1 minutes watching an ad about the king ... well ... why not ! Is like that every Mondays, people are wearing a yellow tee.shirt to honor him ... funny if u don't know that and seeing all this people dressing up the same ! in the end, movie was fine but the way I watched it in this thaie huge cinema was much better !

Floating market

Satursday morning I get up about 6am to go to this market. Actualy is just so far from Bangkok, it takes about 2 hours to get there !
Then you have to take a boat which will bring you in the middle of this strange floating market ! lots of little boats around, boats with people saling fruits, foods, clothes and souvenirs things ... the only problem is that the river is very dirty (but I saw someone swimming on it and drinking the water !!! )During one hour I went all over, saw all this people saling things, tourist taking pictures (of course)
So yes it was a really funny experience but it's very touristic place ! I loved it, even if I felt a little bit sick in that boat .......
How to get there : The easiest way is taking a Chao Phraya River express boat. There are also several canal routes by long-tail boat

Suanlum Night Bazaar

That was a super cool night market ! I went there on friday night, actualy did not really know where to go, I just walked by the lumpini park and found out noise next to it, then when I went there It was a huge place, with a concert and all around lots of little shops, artisanat, clothes, shoes, everythings ! and it took me probably more than 2 hours to go all around ! (even if not everything was open) and I found so many nice stuffs, no many things that I would have loved to buy ! And well I found a crazy, wonderful, georgous dress and I was really close to buy it even if it was so expensive ( well about 30 euros, which was nothing for this dress but still expensive from Thailand ) unfortunatly I tried it and believe or not but with some lips gloss and straight hair I will have looked like a real women ! well lots of stuffs and not enought money (yes yes I am serious ! I need to get this numerique camera in China, for sur won't be expensive but still need to be careful, in plus I have fews days off, I still don't know where to spend them, Cambodga for temples or nice Island like Koh phi phi o Koh phangan for the beaches ??!! will see !) anyway I am going to china in not even 2 weeks and I am sur that they will have a lots to buy over there !
About this market, it's open every days from 3pm to 12pm and it is probably the best I have done so far (even if I always say the same when I have discovered all the past markets !) too many markets in Bangkok, during the night, the morning, the afternoon, in the very center, away in the middle of nowhere or simply just about 5min from home :) that is probably why this IS the best one ! I can go all the time I want ;)

<<--- Here it was ! we arrived there about 1pm, had a lunch (spicy as asual) and just relax on the beach ... I had a little bangaloo next to the sea. The Island is quite big unfortunatly too many tourist, it was find but I wish it would have been without people, just the sea the sand and me ?! .... many girls doing Thai massage were there also and I couldn't resist to offer me one, under the trees, with the waves sound and exotic music playing from the bar behind it was just perfect ! so during one hours and for 200b I had a really nice massage ! and in plus in the end I had for the first time of my life : manicure ! interesting ...
I have been bitten by so many insicts ...arf ... it was just so hot there and the only clever thing to do was to stay in the shadow ... even if it doesn't change anything about sunburn, it just softer !
so yes ! I had a perfect relaxing week end and I loved it ...

Koh Samet !!!

I spent my week end in a really cool place, far away from busy bangkok, far away from trafic and shop, it was just nice, I spent all days long swimming in the transparent beach (wondering if there were any sharks) or slipping on the white sand, well it was perfect, the only problem now is that I am fucking red or brown or whatever it just hurt !!!

So yes ! I was in Koh Samet, whitch is the nearest island from Bangkok ... had to take a cab during 3 hours who take us to the coast, then we had to take a boat and playa we were !!!

China Town

After the Wat Pho I decided to go to China Town as it wasn't that far ! and it was chaotic ! lots of people, lots of stand market everywhere, food, clothes, typical chiness food and stuffs. smells of everything in plus with the very hot saison ( I do not believe the meteo whitch says that it is about 30 degres... It's defenetly more ! well China town was intesresting, really big and not that much of tourist ... I probably thought that it would have been diferent, but I must go during the night, whitch woulb be more cosmopolite and coolest I am sur -)

Wat Pho

This morning I went to Wat Pho, is one of the biggest and it says that is possibly the most interesting temple in Thailand as it combines history, medical science and it is a center for mediationand traditional massage training ! in plus there is the golden reclining Buddha that measues 46 metres and has feet inlaid with mother of pearl. Then I saw many bouddhiste inside ... That the first temple I am visiting and I am defenetly looking forwards to see more of them ! The address of Wat Pho is 2 Sanamchai Road, It's open every day from 8 AM to 5 PM, and the admission is 20 baht for farang, free for Thai.

Patpong night market !

this is a very cool area and I found travelers ! there they are ! I saw many of them in this big market and around, it's plenty of shops, bars ... people ! from everywhere !

unfortunetly I did not stay that long but for sur I will come back but anyway not for buying cos the price there were more expensive than the two others markets that I have already seen but if you want the latest Louis Vuitton or Gucci bags, Rolex watches or the latest block buster film on DVD, foot's tee shirt, then Patpong night market is the place to go. There are row upon row of market stalls in a couple of streets in the Patpong area flanked by numerous go-go bars. The fakes are usually good quality and cheap but you have to bargain and you have to take a chance on everything working when you get home !

In the end before get home, we ate in a cool restaurant outside, with a kind of concert and thaie girls dancing with costume !

Lumpini Park

Today I went to the Lumpini Park, just about 20 minutes walk from the hotel ! this is a hug park very nice ! I had some fresh air as there are plenty of trees, weather still very hot and I think that is it one of the best place to go in this case !

Tuk Tuk and Phahurat Indian Market

Is it gonna be hot like that all the time ?! right now I have got sun burn,wake up so early spent all the day outside !

And for the first time I took the TUK TUK ! so much fun ! so dangerous aswell, and it cost nothing, I paid 20 b ( 1 euros = 46 b) a way to go to the travel agency find out where in Thailand I could go ! And I might go to Pattaya/coral island , next week end, not that far from bangkok... well will see, it cost 1000b the day with a transfert by boat from Pattaya to Coral Iland, but the thing is I do not really know the price and it is probably expensive even if 22 euros to go there for me mean nothing ! well then I met this Thaie boy who told me a lots of stuffs to do here, and in the end told me that I was too young to be by myself ( well he probably didn't believe me when I told him that I was 22 years old with my 18 years old face !! )

the same, lots of branch, impossible to get sun glasses without a big DIOR, CHANEL OR WHATEVER !!!! but I did by one anyway and for people who knows me very well they are SOOO big ( as usual !!!)

Since 3 days is a water party here, u get wet as people send u water all the time on your face, actualy this is very great with this weather ! It's new year here that is why they are doing that ... celebration !

On my way home I took an other tuk tuk, but this time, probably not the good one, he brought me to his sponsor shop to get petrol I suppose, the thing is that tuk tuk boys have to bring people to their sponsor, then they can get for free petrol or I dont know really ... so I had to visit the shop... I did it, anyway if 10 minutes of my time can help him to earn some money why not ?!

First of all this shop was so boring, but I promised the boy that I will stay at least 10 min, but actually it was a designer shop were u can get all the clothes u want as they are making it for u, so if I want I can just bring picture and fabrics and they just do it !!!

An other really strange thing, I mean I was sur that they will haved a lots of tourist here and actually none ! I do not know were all they are, all the backpackers, probably ( even sur ) around Thailand, much better I am sur, So couple of time I was the only no Thaie one, it was kind of strange to be in the middle of all of them ....

So an other day by myself, actually in some part is fine, I can do whatever I want and decide anything that I want to do ! but I think that is much better to be with at least someone else, this is my point of view ... !

Chatuchak Market and Thai massage !

When I woke up this morning it was just so hot, I went to the swimming pool hotel, and believe or not I am already brown (or kind of ! ;) )

Then I took the sky train to Chatuchak Market, this is a geant Market full of everything ! such as clothes, shoes, foods, bags ... Whatever ! for people who knows is like 1o times bigger than Camden town and 2o times CHEAPER !!! Can get tee shirt about 1 euros,jeans about 2 euros... more or less u can get everything u want for this kind of price ! there are also an area with animals dress up ! the place is full ! but I have been very surpise to find only Thai people, I mean I have not seen that much of tourist ... anyway it was so big and the weather too hot so I did not stay that long ...

After all of that, Decided to go to a Center Point Massage (http://www.centerpointmassage.com/ ) in Siam Square and it was just fabulous ! I had an Aromatherapy body Massage during 1 hours for nothing !!! it is a really funny experience ! first of all the lady bring you to a little area with a mattress on the floor, then you have to take off ALL your clothes ! you only can put a very small transparent knikers ! people shy... don't go ! and then you are in paradise for 1 hours, it has been a little bit rude when she started to walk on my body but it was geat :) unfortunately, because of the climatisation every where I couldn't stop caughing and didn't really enjoy the beginning but as nice she was she gave me this very hot special tea ...

In the end went to the Thai boots, and fuck this is so cheap, I just wanted to buy EVERYTHING !

Back home ... So tired ! such a great day :)

First Day !

SAWASDEE !!! Bangkok I am !! around 3.30 pm, we left Barcelona, trying to get the taxi to go to the airport, unfortunately the only one who could take us there had a problem with rolls so we had to wait ... again and again ! but we get the airport on time !One problem wasn't enought an other came ! tickets haven't been registred correctly so we though that it would have been impossible to get this fucking plane ! lucky us we sorted it out ! then started the long way to Thailand ! around 9 pm we get London to take one hour after the plane to bangkok ... I had the 3 sits for myself ! a tv in the front of the sit and could choise any video I wanted ... anyway after 12 hours we arrived, tired but happy ! weather is just so hot and it is hard to breath ... people are smiling all the time !

the residence hotel where we are staying is lovely, got my one bed-bathroom place and all around is great ! swimming pool, jacussi, gym, restaurant ...

today we just went to this really cheap good thai restaurant and it is umbelievable to see how nice thai people are, smiling, really kind ! but we ate so spicy !!!

let's see what will happen tomorrow ;)
